Thankfulness 2013, Days 25-30

25 - I'm thankful for my husband. He is a wonderful man and I'm blessed to have him in my life.

26 - I'm thankful my professor canceled class this evening because I appreciated having extra time to pack.

27 - I'm thankful for air travel because I was able to go 1,200 miles in just a few hours. I'm also thankful for the chance to visit my family and my hometown for Thanksgiving. I hadn't spent a holiday with my family in 3 years.

28 - I'm thankful I have a grandmother who loves me and will spend hours talking with me about important things.

29 - I'm thankful for my parents' cabin in the mountains. And that they took me there and led me on a glorious hike to view the scenery. I feel renewed after spending time in the fresh air, listening to the soothing sounds of nature, talking with them, sleeping until I was fully rested, going without my phone and internet for a little while. I loved every second of it.

30 - I'm thankful for the way in which I experience music. It's a kind of magic.

Thankfulness 2013, Days 21-24

November 21- I'm thankful that my kitty cat Wingman (aka Mingy) had a successful castration and seems to be recovering well. Even though I postponed it way too long because I didn't want him to go through it. And even though I continued postponing it after he started claiming things in the house. He acts like he has forgotten the whole thing, so I am thankful that it is over with and he is back to his normal happy playful cuddly self.

November 22- I'm thankful for friends and impromptu lunches.

November 23- I'm thankful that I've finished all but one final paper. Yes! Hooray for winter break!

November 24- I'm thankful for electricity and fuel and for all of the devices and appliances I use every single day. Most of the time I forget how lucky I am to have these things that make life so easy. Because of them I can spend my valuable time going to school, reading, writing, dreaming, planning, and socializing.

Thankfulness 2013, Days 10-16

November 10:  I'm thankful for the alarm on my phone that reminds me to water my houseplants.

November 11:  I'm thankful for the all-volunteer military. Because they could be called anytime to fight a war. And they volunteered anyway.

November 12:  I'm thankful for my period. I know. Gross. But mine doesn't always come on its own and this time I didn't have to take medication to induce it. Yay!

November 13:  I'm thankful my husband brings home triple chocolate chunk cookies and calls them "Period Cookies."

November 14:  I'm thankful for the curbside trash service that takes my garbage to a mysterious place far away where I'll never see it and be prompted to think things like: "I know I haven't used/seen it for years but it's perfectly good and I'll want it someday."

November 15:  I'm thankful that Taco Bell will put beans in my tacos instead of beef. Sometimes I just need a guilt-free crunchy drive-thru taco  =)

November 16:  I'm thankful for my warm cozy feminine organized study area where I've done many homeworks and written 20,000 words for my novel-in-progress.

Thankfulness 2013, Days 4-9

November 4: I'm thankful for my primary care doctor, who is about my age and like me has a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, and who loves the show Lost, and who greets me by saying "Hey Lady!" :) She's awesome.

November 5: I'm thankful that my kitty cat Dawna Belle had a short and successful trip to the vet to get her rotten tooth pulled. The doctor was very gentle and kind.

November 6: I'm thankful for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) because I really needed a goal like this! It's motivating me to get my homework and other responsibilities done quickly so I can write. It's also training me to practice good self care because the creativity flows when I'm sleeping, eating, and moving right! :)

November 7: I know I've already said that I'm thankful for Pad Thai, but this is different. I'm thankful for my very favorite food Pad Thai and eating it with my very favorite friend Pey. She is awesome. We always have a lot to talk about. She believes me when I say I love Pad Thai.

November 8: I'm thankful that I reached 10,000 words today! Only 40,000 to go!! =) (This is in reference to NaNoWriMo's goal of writing a 50,000 word novel from November 1 to 30)

My progress is slightly below par, but I hope to bring it up this weekend =)

November 9: Oh, that's today! I'm thankful today for herbal teas because without them I wouldn't have a reason to get up from my desk and stretch my legs during a long writing session.

Thankfulness 2013, Days 1-3

I'd like to take a moment and list three things which I am thankful for. One thing for each day of November that has already passed.

November 1st: I am thankful for zombies.

November 2nd: I am thankful for double chocolate donuts.

November 3rd: I am thankful for Pad Thai.

That is all.
